ARTICLE I. NAME

The name of the organization will be "Mathematics Club" and will hereafter be referred to as "Math Club."

ARTICLE II. PURPOSE

Section 1. The Math Club is established for the purpose of fostering a greater understanding of mathematics, encouraging undergraduate activity in math research and related mathematical experiences, and providing a social and intellectual forum to all students interested in experiencing math.

Section 2. The Math club is established to find new math wizards in order to help other students who are struggling in understanding math.

​

Section 3. The Math Club is designed to build new stewards of Mathematics by establishing a welcoming environment and to eliminating concurring stereotypes and misconceptions about Mathematics.

ARTICLE III. MEMBERSHIP

Section 1. All students, faculty, and staff associated with Pampanga High School are welcome to become participating members of the Math Club. All members should register with the president of the club to become participating members.

​

Section 2. Members may voluntarily withdraw their membership by requesting their name be removed from the registry. There are no established dues for the Math Club.

​

Section 3. The Math Club will not discriminate against race, color, creed, disability, or sexual orientation.

​

Section 4. There shall be no membership fee collected upon the membership of any students.

​

ARTICLE IV. OFFICERS

Section 1. The officers of Math Club are titled President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Auditor, Public Information Officer, Peace Officer, and four (4) Grade Level Representatives with one (1) Chairperson for each academic level.

Section 2. The election of Math Club officers shall be done once every academic year.

​

ARTICLE V. DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS OF THE MATH CLUB OFFICERS

Section 1. The President

  • Represents the club in any functions or meetings presided by the PHSSSGo and implement Math Club projects or programs.

  • Provides leadership and direction to the club organization

  • Presides at meetings of the club

Section 2. The Vice President

  • Presides at meetings in the absence of the president.

  • Ensures strong leadership succession by identifying and recruiting new club members.

​

Section 3. The Secretary

  • Maintains official records of meetings

  • Keeps a file of all the relevant documents and papers of the Math Club

​

Section 4. The Treasurer               

  • Assists the president and other officers in preparing program budgets and financial controls

  • Prepares accurate financial reports

​

Section 5. The Auditor

  • Assists the Treasurer in preparing the financial reports

  • Audits all the expenditures of Math Club

​

Section 6. The Public Information Officer

  • Promotes the club’s activities and projects

  • Takes charge in every mathematics awarding

​

Section 7. The Peace Officer

  • Enforces peace and prosperity in the organization

  • Takes charge in pacifying noise in meetings and activities

​

Section 8. Grade Level Chairpersons

  • Leads and represents the grade level representatives

  • Informs the representatives about announcements 

​

Section 9. The Grade Level Representatives

  • Represents his/her grade level

  • Takes charge in announcing specific announcements to their grade levels

​

ARTICLE VI. MEETINGS

Section 1. Math Club officers shall proceed to a meeting every month. The meeting shall be conducted every last Friday of the month.

​

Section 2. Special meetings shall be conducted prior to an event of the club.

​

ARTICLE VII. AFFILIATION

Section 1. The Math Club is a recognized student organization and part of the Pampanga High School under the Mathematics Department.

​

Section 2. The Math Club is affiliated with the Pampanga High School Supreme Student Government (PHSSSGo). The organization recognizes the rules and regulations of the PHSSSGo.

​

ARTICLE VIII. CLUB ADVISER

The Math Club shall have one (1) adviser to be appointed. The adviser shall guide the Math Club in accordance with the purpose of the organization.

​

ARTICLE IX. BY-LAWS AND AMENDMENTS

Section 1. The By-Laws may be added by the majority of the membership with the approval of the adviser.

​

Section 2. This constitution may be amended by the majority of the membership with the approval of the adviser.

​

Section 3. All amendments must be in accordance with the school's regulations and policies.
